I would remind my colleagues that @IranIAEA immediately seeks to walk away from its obligations under the #NuclearNon-ProliferationRegime, to which it also is a signatory. — Federica Mogherini (@FedericaMog) September 23, 2018
“I would remind my colleagues that [Iran’s] IAEA has immediately sought to walk away from its obligations under the [Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty] to which it also is a signatory,” Federica Mogherini, the EU’s foreign policy chief, wrote on Twitter.
She was reacting to reports Friday that Iran’s top nuclear negotiator Ali Akbar Salehi had signaled that the IAEA needed to present a report on its investigation into Iran’s past nuclear weapons programs before further discussions about the nuclear agreement can take place.
